Thomas Paine arrived in Philadelphia on November 30 1774. Thomas Paine's first employment job was working at the Pennsylvania Magazine in January 1775. One of Thomas Paine’s early articles was an article on the African slave trade, called "African Slavery in America," which Thomas Pain signed under the name of "Justice and Humanity."
Thomas Paine was born on January 29, 1737. He lived in Thetford, England. His father was a corseted. Thomas Pains father had great visions for his son. At the age of 12 Thomas Paine had failed school. Thomas Paine began to work for his father, but then he failed doing that. So when Thomas Paine turned 19 he went out to sea. His adventure didn't last that long. When Thomas Pains lived in England, his life was marked by repeated failures. Around 1760 Thomas Pains wife and child both died while his wife was giving birth to his child. In the summer of 1772, Thomas Paine wrote and published "The Case of the Officers of Excise". A 21 paged article to the members of parliament and the citizens.
